secret sibling

Not much time to be lilting and lyrical today I'm afraid. There's trouble at mill, as they say here in the north. My eldest daughter who, rather unreasonably in my view, refused to take part in this blog, cruelly branding my normal uncommercial account of normal family life in the north as 'The Osbournes in Barbours', claims that she has been mentioned in the comments section in breach of our confidentiality agreement. Please of course don't tell her that I told you that she told me this and don't tell anyone that I told you not to tell them that I told you. It's a real shame that I'm not allowed to tell you about the row she and I had over this because it's just the kind of thing which would make a really good read. I have to go back now and find out if Hilly, which may or may not be her name, if she really exists, has indeed been mentioned on this blog and then try and glue together the spode and, if there's any glue left after that, try and piece together our mother-daughter relationship, which would, ironically, also make a really good blog entry which makes the whole affair even more tragic. As I said, I'm not allowed to mention our little tiff, which was nothing really, but if you drop by Chez Rilly in the next week or so best keep your Hunters on untill Natalia's got all the broken glass up. You couldn't make any more of a mess, which I cannot confirm that there is of course, than there is already. Well, I suppose this kind of thing happens in every normal family, which is what we are, sigh.

I think it could be due to the addition of your photo - there are definately three children on there ...

Surely 'definitely' ?

Ah yes M&M, that does give it away rather. There's a very similar photo of a woman fleeing the great depression actually, but of course I moved TO the great depression so it was worse for me. It's grim up north you know.

Terribly terribly grim, Rilly, though it's actually rather nice where I am at the mo, not a million miles away from that other southern refugee, who is in a similar state to your good self...

Anon, I definitely think your spelling is the definitive spelling of definitely!

Rilly, M&M, Trouble at Mill - It looks like wifey has gone awol from the blog - how will they all cope ?

Do you think it is a little too early to panic or call social services ?

It's just that I am a bit of a worry wart...

I'm not interfering, I'm just concerned.....

Anon, surely 'worry wort'? Touche, pussycat!

Call me an old whinger...but Rilly, there hasn't been much in the way of coitus interruptus on your blog of late...I understand that this painful condition can spread rapidly in the cold, damp and windy conditions up north, so I am wondering how you all manage to avoid it ??

Perhaps this is 'wifey's hubby ??

anoymous, I'm sure there's no cause for alarm. when I leave my children to go away I know that they'll be absolutely fine with natalia as long as I leave the tin opener and polish phrase book in a prominant position.

other anonymous, basically up north it's too cold to go out between october and and march except to light the flares that nmark out the landing strip for the supply plane so what else to do but write blogs. it's our main growth industry. Things might get a little slower as the sun comes out, ritual sacrifices and so on to attend, you know how it is

I think Migrant Mother had about 6 children around her in that photo (before it was cropped) so you've got a way to go.
As the unfunny alter ego has gone on holiday for the week will you be joining her?

Mutterings & Meanderings - not only are you witty, erudite, intelligent and humorous but you are very feisty as well ! You give me the horn something chronic...

I can neither confirm nor deny that I understood any of that, which is probably good. I think...

anonymous with the link dear, thanks ever so but please keep the odd belgian photographers to a minimum as it might confuse people as to what this blog is about. It's confusing enough up north without bringing belgium into it, just look at poor chip there.

local yokel, I'm sure I don't know to whom you are referring but I'm afraid no plans for any hols at the momment, but might take a couple days off from the blogface now you come to mention it my dear. Six children you say? what a super blog she must have had!

anoymous and M&M, I see you have moved from radio 4 spelling panel game to online dating. I do hope there aren't any licences I need to get because of you two. I don't know, you young people...

chip, you're probably right that it's probably good..

thanks ever so for dropping by chaps, see you soon

Ms Super, another point about your blog is that I don't think we are getting quite enough detail about your cars. I say 'cars' in the plural because one is just never quite enough is it ? In fact, aspiring 'yummy mummies' like yourself should surely devote more of their time to getting a better car/jeep than to the care and upbringing of their children - just a thought, Rilly dearest...

You haven't gone off on holiday, have you? Am awaiting today's installment ..

anonymous, well, maybe, but really anything with the spare wheel on the outside will do

M&M, technical difficulties my dear, back soon
